The Alien Buddha's 2023 Horror Showdown!
Read and vote for my story with an overly-long but contextually-relevant title about a ghastly, vengeance-fueled revenant of a sunken whaling ship.
Hey Mob, I have a quick update today, and would love your help.
My short story “The Madness of George Pollard Regarding the Return of the Whaling Ship Essex and the Great Fire of 1846” is hanging on by a thread in the 2023 Horror Showdown, and needs your help to secure victory!
It also happens to be a solid ripper of a tale, coming in at right around 2000 words, packing in revenge, a creepy lighthouse, a ghostly vessel sailing through the fog, and cannibalism (which is actually the true part of the story, read more about The Essex and her demise here).
Then go and join the Alien Buddha (the easiest of things to do) and vote! The polls close midnight on Friday Oct 28.

I appreciate all of you and your support. Tell me what kind of stories you like to read!
